As the CEO of Penguin Automated Systems Inc. (Penguin ASI) since 2001, I have been leading a research and development company that creates cutting-edge digital technologies for various industries, such as mining, agriculture, construction, transportation, maritime, security, military, and space. My core competencies include embedded AI, intelligent systems, robotics, and automation, and I hold over 30 patents in these fields. I have also received multiple awards and recognitions for my innovative and impactful work, such as being named one of the top ten robotics companies in 2017.
In addition to my role at Penguin ASI, I am also the President-Founder of MoonRise Inc., a company that I launched in 2019 to revolutionize the field of space mining. By applying terrestrial mining knowledge and technology to lunar exploration and extraction, I aim to unlock the potential of the moon as a source of water and other valuable resources. I have been involved in the Lunar Mining Concept Development project since 2015, creating conceptual plans for H2O exploration and the development of an underground base and mine for de-risking water production from the moon. I have a PhD in Mining Engineering from McGill University and a former professorship and directorship at Laurentian University, where I taught and researched robotics and mine automation. I am a sought-after consultant and speaker on topics including leadership, technology, and their outcomes to society.
