Stella So

Principal Reliability Engineer, Bayer

Stella So is a Principal Reliability Engineer at Bayer's biotech manufacturing plant in Berkeley, CA. She leads the plant's mechanical integrity program that improves equipment uptime by developing asset condition monitoring programs and preventive maintenance plans for critical systems. She regularly partners with stakeholders in Quality, Maintenance, Utilities, Plant Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing Sciences to deliver safety and regulatory compliance projects. Prior to reliability engineering, Stella was leading lean six sigma initiatives in Operational Excellence and drove continuous improvement in Bayer's warehouse logistics operations. Stella holds graduate degrees in operations research and transportation engineering, and was formerly a consultant for California government agencies, advancing public mobility and intelligent transportation systems projects.
